Because it only has Bluetooth built in, you'll need a compatible smart home hub - or spring for the Level Bolt Connect, which includes a plug-in-Wi-Fi adapter (sold separately for $79) - if you want to remotely monitor and control the lock. The Level Bolt works with HomeKit, Alexa, Google Assistant and Ring. And, because the Level Lock uses your door's hardware, you can still continue to use your keys to lock and unlock the door. So, not only does this mean you don't have to mar the appearance of your door with a gadget, but it also means that you're not advertising to others that you have a smart lock. That's because all of its workings fit neatly inside your door. The Level Bolt smart lock distinguishes itself from all other smart locks in that, once installed, its mechanism is completely hidden from sight. It's available as a key-free touchscreen model for $209.99 (Bluetooth and Apple HomeKit Only) and $289.99 (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Apple HomeKit). The Yale Assure Lock 2 Plus supports Apple Home keys, so you can tap your iPhone or Apple Watch on the lock to unlock your door. It's available as a keyed or key-free touchscreen model for $199.99 (Bluetooth and Apple HomeKit Only) and $279.99 (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Apple HomeKit). Yale has several versions of this lock: The Assure Lock 2 Touch has a fingerprint reader, with the ability to store up to 20 different fingerprints. Also, there's no brass finish option this time around, but that's more of a quibble than anything. It's an extra step, and one that visitors might not understand. Our biggest gripe is that you have to press the Yale logo before you can input the keycode. If the battery runs out, you can give it a temporary boost by touching a 9v battery to two contacts underneath the keypad. There is no manual key option, though: it’s a keycode (unlimited!), app or nothing. Like its predecessor, the Assure SL, the Assure Lock 2 is an attractive, well-designed lock that is easy to install. You can pick up this smart, full-featured lock for less than $100. If you want to add some smarts to your home without spending too much, the August Smart Lock has most of the features you'll need, at a reasonable price. There are advantages and disadvantages to both, which we cover in our " what to look for when buying a smart lock" section. The former replaces your entire deadbolt, while the latter requires you to only swap out the part of your deadbolt that's inside your house. I too have run into issues with Zapier getting into a traffic jam and skipping records. Then you are only limited by your automation run limit (which is related to your subscription level). It will fire for each and every record you have that matches, and send a singular email, or update that record. ![]() If you build the automation to trigger on a record that matches some criteria, and then do some action with that singular data, then the automation find record limit doesn't factor in. It sounds like you are trying to build automations that look at a single record and then send 1 email to that record's recipient, and move on to the next record. They can look through a table, find 100 records that match a criteria, and then aggregate all the information in them into an action, usually a report, or writing a document. Here is a help file from Airtable about this process.Īirtable Automations are limited to finding 100 records per automation. Start manual, move into a Zapier trigger, and then fully automate based on a complex series of filters. They sort of evolve as you grow your data and your base and how it functions. I have many bases that I use all 3 of the methods I described. Mix and match, pick the ones that work for your work style or your budget, or even your technical proficiency method. You can even define a button to the extension and send custom emails one at a time. The Sendgrid extension is a more manual process, whereby you define a set view of records/email addresses, draft the message, including use of mail merge tags to insert data from your table, preview them and send a batch group of emails. ![]() But if you have a need to send 50,000 emails in a month, it would only cost $20. I also really like using the Sendgrid extension (though this does incur additional monthly costs). You can also define a variety of ways for it to trigger including any changes to the record (checkbox, single select field using some sort of command like "Send email", etc. Other functional ways to schedule and send emails also include exactly what you've done with Zapier. You can even make the last action in an automation to update the record as "sent" as each email is sent. Turn on the automation after testing, and sit back and relax. After setting up the trigger, you can define the action (Send a Gmail) using the Integrations. You can set a variety of triggers (at a scheduled time, with your date/time modified field, or based on several filterable conditions). The most straightforward way that Airtable currently makes for that process is the use the Automation tab. There are quite a few different ways to send out emails from Airtable, as well as trigger them. Is this the way to do this sort of thing? It feels a bit clunky.Īnd, if you've had experience doing something like this yourself, was it smart for me to trigger the zaps in smaller batches? Or would Zapier have handled processing ~120 records in one run? After each batch went out, I marked those records as "sent" by hand (easy in Airtable, for this number of records), queued up the next batch, and waited for them to get sent. I didn't ask Zapier to do anything other than connect (record by record) to my client's Gmail account and send each message. We had to do a follow-up email, and I used the same process, just with a different body content for the message. I was a little worried about how well Zapier would perform, so I triggered smaller batches of records, about 30 at a time. The zap then connected to my client's Google Workspace/Gmail account to send the emails out. I defined a date-time modified field in Airtable that I used to trigger the zap in Zapier. ![]() The email contains a link to an Airtable form that I want them to fill out. I have a list of people (about 120) that I needed to send and email to. This week I used it for something important, and I'm wondering if the approach I took is the best way to solve the problem. I've used Zapier on and off for the last couple of years for small purposes. ![]() With Convert2mp3, you can convert videos from YouTube, Dailymotion or Clipfish in a format like MP3, MP4 and more. The zip-file can be re-opened in Fiji by drag&drop: all selections will be listed in the ROI Manager after re-opening.ġ. For quality control purposes, the macro also saves the selections within the ROI Manager as a zip-file and a control-image with all spot selections overlaid over the inverted background-subtracted dot blot. The final output of the macro is a result table that lists intensity measurements for each spot. After this the macro performs a background subtraction and measures the intensities of each spot. The user has the possibility to manually adjust the selections by activating a selection within the ROI manager, adjusting it and pressing “update” to save the new position. After registration the macro creates selections for each spot. DotBlot_Analysis.ijm uses the user-set landmarks to register the mask image to the scanned blot in an iterative process. The user then needs to mark 3–5 corresponding dots (=landmarks) in the scanned dot blot and in the mask. After starting the macro, the user will be asked to select the names of the mask and dot blot images, as well as enter an expected spot size in pixel and a prominence value (discussed under Implementation). The mask image is a representation of the spot pattern. The macro expects two images: the scanned dot blot and a mask image. It runs within the free and open-source software Fiji 5. It then automatically searches for more landmarks and performs the final registration and measurements. The presented ImageJ Macro DotBlot_Analysis.ijm relies on a few (3–5) landmarks selected by the user to give a first estimate of the transformation between the scanned dot blot and a template pattern. As a result, open source tools currently available for analyzing dot blots either strongly rely on user input 3 or assume full regular patterns 4, which is not always the case. The intensity-based algorithm fails for similar reasons. For algorithms that depend simply on feature detection, the pattern of the mask is too dense and regular to be successfully registered to few sparse dots. A scanned dot blot can often not be aligned to the mask with either method, especially when only a few analytes in the dot blot give positive signals. Linear Stack Alignment with SIFT 2) 1, 2. Dot blots typically contain ~200 spots to be analyzed. Binding of the analyte to the capture antibody is detected by a detection antibody and chemiluminescence signals are recorded by film or scanner, similar as in classical western blots. Commercially available dot blots contain a set of so-called capture antibodies spotted to a membrane in a given pattern, with each spot representing one specific antibody.
